Tudor Lodge

50 Field End Rd, Pinner HA5 2QN, UK – 020 8429 0585

This is a nice friendly no fuss place. The main building itself is a superb 500 year old half-timbered house. My room was in this part of the hotel. However there are also more modern annexes. The room itself was small but comfortable. The bathroom plumbing ws a little quaint, it made odd noises, but was fully functional. Breakfast was in a nice spacious dining room was a good UK standard but coffee was from a vacuum container and you had to ask the kitchen for toast. The staff was very diverse and friendly. I can recommend it.

Hotel was okay, wouldn't recommend for more than a night. The rooms don't have AC, which in this heat isn't great, instead we were left with a small fan. The room itself was a decent size however the bathroom definitely needed repairing in places; shower curtain was coming off its rungs, toilet seat broken as well as flusher. Breakfast was good, standard fry up choices with a good selection of fruit and juices as an accompaniment.

Lovely B+B Why bother with a hotel?

Una estancia muy agradable y un trato excelente. La verdad es que me ha encantado todo: limpio, acogedor y en todo momento han demostrado muchísima amabilidad. Recomendable al 120%.

Sinclair's B&B

21 Chester Rd, Northwood HA6 1BG, UK – 01923 822047

This was my first time staying at a B&B. Very clean and comfortable, I had a great stay here.

Fantastic Value. Clean rooms, hospitable host, and generous Continental breakfast. A stone's throw to Northwood train station and an easy ride to London. Local supermarket a short stroll - added bonus of the kitchen allows for microwave of evening meals. If you're not greedy, you can swing yourself a sandwich for a 'takeaway picnic' from the lovely array of meats, cheese and fresh eggs provided. Oooh - and the McVitie's Gold biscuits - highly addictive. One will not be enough! offers competitive rates for any type of hotel, from small independent hotels to a five star luxury ones. Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

The Gate

Rickmansworth Rd, Northwood HA6 2RH, UK – 01923 836513

Food was ok but ordered starter and main, both came out together. Ordered desert and after 25 minutes I reminded them... It appeared, but ice-cream was melted. It has clearly been on the side waiting. A new desert was provided.

Fabulous old pub with low ceiling and wooden inside. Open fire place which makes it warm and inviting on a cold winter's day. Great for summer too as there is outdoor seating to soak up the Sun while slowly drinking ale. Try the olives and bread as a starter with a glass of wine and you will not be disappointed. Not a easy pub to get to and I suppose that is an advantage and thankfully not a television to be found inside which means it football free which is just out of this World.

The Pinner Arms

Whittington Way, Pinner HA5 5JS, UK – 020 8866 5688

Seen some bad reviews of this place but we had no problems. Had a group of about 5 people, no delay to the food. Came out in a timely manner and everyone was happy. A family run pub, heard a lot of "mum can you do this" behind the bar. Would say well priced. Could park, also watch sports there, had a hunoungus screen, along with one of the biggest burgers I've had in my life. Nice people, recommended.

Always feel the best place to a have an evening out. Staff are really friendly

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!
